I come from a long line of women born with women in the comfort of their homes with midwives or competent, caring doctors by their sides. My mother was a a brave pioneer, who chose to break the mold of medical birth, so prevalent in the 1960’s and 1970’s, and found a family practice doctor who would attend her home birth in Mount Shasta California.
My brothers and I were all born at home surrounded by love and joy. I grew up in awe of birth and devoted to mothers and babies. I felt my calling somehow lay in this foundational work of birthing and becoming.

Through the birth of a child a mother and father are also born, a family is created. Attending my fist birth in July of 2000 I felt in my heart that this was my work. Finding my way to midwifery was a winding path and took a few more years. I began attending births in the California Bay Area in 2006 and never looked back. Midwifery is in my body and my blood. It is the perfect blend of science, art and love.
The name for my practice came to me after having worked in the field of midwifery for some years and recognizing that God and the Devine were always present as I attended birth after birth. I serve families of all faiths and have discovered that no matter what a woman’s religion or spiritual practice is birth is a great equalizer and many women experience moments of grace during the birthing process.
Trinity Midwifery was born out of my love and devotion to women, families and the process of transformation that birth provides for all of us. As I depend my relationship to my faith and to the Holy Trinity that guides my path, it is my great honor and privilege to serve women through the birthing year and beyond.
As the mother of four children, I understand the challenges and struggles faced by parents today. Parenting in the 21st century can be complicated and fraught with doubt and questioning. The internet and doctor Google (as I call him) can lead one down a path of questioning and concern. I am available for in person consultation as well as by phone or video call to help new mothers and fathers navigate the challenges of parenting in these times. I look forward to serving you during your parenting journey.
Some facts about my background in midwifery and education. I am a Certified Professional Midwife and a Licensed Midwife in the state of California and New Hampshire. I hold a BA and am a student in an MFT program. I have studied herbalism, and homeopathic practices as well as Anthroposophical medicine (the medical practice developed by Its Wegman and Rudolf Steiner).
Midwifery is a blend of art and science and intuition. The beauty of practicing home birth, among many things, is that together we decide on the path that is best for you. I look forward to hearing from you and going on this journey together.
